Our Ben is a little obsessive about wheels, and this is the latest incarnation - take 2 of the very best products available, the Hope Pro 5 hub and DT Swiss' highest spec alloy rims and bring them together in what we're certain will be the best alloy wheelset you will find anywhere on any bike at this price point. The Bird Factory wheels are built using 32 of our favourite spokes; the double-butted DT Swiss Competition and double-headed pro-lock nipples - strong, corrosion-free and easy to work with. The Factory SL wheels balance ease of maintenance with weight savings to keep it trail-friendly on even the biggest rims.

• Hope Pro 5 hubs, 32H. Front hub supplied with Torque Cap adaptors on RockShox fork equipped bikes
• DT Swiss XM481, EX511, M502, FR541 or E532 rims - 30mm internal width. Go XM/M for trail use, EX/E for enduro riding and FR for heavy riders/extreme riding conditions and where total reliability is key.
